Just a quick reminder that applications for the next Tackling Poverty through Participatory Budgeting Fund are currently open and will close on Friday January 31st 2020. This fund is open to all third sector organisations who want to make a positive difference to the lives of the most vulnerable families and individuals who are experiencing incredibly difficult times through living with the effects of any form of poverty.
The outcomes Dumfries and Galloway Council plans to tackle with this funding round include :
- Rural isolation particularly rural transport
- Fuel poverty
- Food and eating
- Financial Planning and Wellbeing Courses
- Developing hands on experience and new life skills through employment, peer group engagement and volunteering
A total funding pot of £200,000 is available across the region with grants of between £100.00 and £5,000.00 available. The application process is open until midnight on Friday 31 January 2020.
