  • Dumfries and Galloway Council is currently consulting on draft supplementary guidance on the  Stranraer Conservation Area Character Appraisal and Management Plan.

Energy Efficient Scotland Consultation: Making our homes and buildings warmer, greener and more efficient – Closing 27th July 2018

  • Energy Efficient Scotland will set out a framework for energy standards for buildings. The main purpose of this consultation is to detail the proposed framework and gather the views of organisations and individuals on feasibility and delivery mechanisms. This consultation builds on earlier consultations on energy efficiency and fuel poverty.

Consultation on the Energy Efficiency Standard for Social Housing post-2020 (EESSH2) – Closing 27th July 2018

  • EESSH2 proposes a longer term approach to removing poor energy efficiency as a driver for fuel poverty in social housing, and we are seeking views on proposals to set a challenging and aspirational target to maximise the number of social rented homes meeting an EPC band B by 2032.

Increasing the Employment of Disabled People in the Public Sector – Consultation – Closing 15th August 2018

The document sets out the Scottish Government’s commitment to support disabled people into sustainable and fair work, as well as to stay in work if their disability or health issues become worse. It focuses specifically on what more can be done to support more disabled people into work in the public sector. But it will also touch on related issues, such as recruitment processes, and what further actions are needed to help close the disability employment gap.

Building Standards Compliance and Fire Safety – a consultation on making Scotland’s buildings safer for people – Closing 26th Sept 2018

The Scottish Government is now seeking the views of any organisation or individual with an interest in ensuring building standards legislation and associated Technical Handbook guidance fully address the issues raised in relation to:

  • the level of detailing accompanying building warrant applications and completion certificates;
  • the construction of buildings; and
  • the safety of occupants in the event of a fire in dwellings, particularly those in high rise buildings.
