Neighbourhood Management

We want the areas in which our tenants live to be in good condition and to be places where everyone wants to live and visit. Neighbourhood management involves the management of your tenancy and also the condition of your estate.

DGHP’s stock is divided into 20 Neighbourhood Management ‘patches’, covering around 500 homes in each. Neighbourhood Managers play a vital role in the communities they work in.  They provide a high quality customer-focused housing management service to tenants, including resolving individual tenancy, neighbourhood and local environment issues and concerns.

Neighbourhood Managers are able to offer advice and assistance regarding your tenancy or estate management issues and will help you deal with any problems.

Responsibilities covered by Neighbourhood Managers include - dealing with all aspects of rent arrears and the sign-up of new tenants as well as dealing with estate management issues such as abandoned properties, condition of properties or gardens, common areas, garage sites and pets.

Neighbourhood Managers now, in place of Allocations staff, are undertaking the sign-up of new tenancies and this has proved very successful as it has allowed a relationship to be developed at the earliest possible stage with each new tenant.

Another success story has been the focus on patch and estate inspections. Neighbourhood Managers have a high profile in their areas and these inspections allow them to identify and take forward issues as they arise. If you would like to attend an estate inspection in your area, please get in touch with us and we will be pleased to invite you along to the next one.
