Preventing and managing arrears when they arise is crucial to DGHP’s ability to provide services and improvements to customers, and to maintain and improve its housing stock. DGHP aims to support tenants in sustaining their tenancies and avoid the threat of eviction and homelessness wherever possible.
Our dedicated Income Management team does this through pro-active measures, professional support and customer service. They aim to minimise tenancy-related debt owed to DGHP and maximise timely payments of rental income.
DGHP provides a firm and direct approach to arrears recovery with a strong sensitivity to individual customer needs. The objective is to have early personal contact with tenants in difficulty and agree a sensible and affordable way forward to resolve any issues.
The income management team has had great success since their formation in 2006, with one of the best performance records in Scotland, resolving countless issues for individual customers.
DGHP will proceed with eviction as a last resort and only after all other available options have been considered.
If you have any concerns or questions regarding your rent (or rent arrears), please contact us on Freephone 0800 011 3447 and ask for the income management team.
