**Coronavirus update – Please know we will do all we can to support you and your family through these extraordinary times.
We are still only able to deliver a restricted repairs service. However, the gradual easing of restrictions means that as well as delivering emergency repairs we can now also carry out other essential repairs where it is safe to do so.**
Who repairs what?
Looking after your home is partly your responsibility and partly ours. Legally, as your landlord, we have to carry out certain repairs and maintain your home to a safe standard.
Before a tenancy begins, we must inspect the house and carry out any work required to make sure it is safe, secure, and wind and watertight. After you move in, we will also carry out work to keep the property in reasonable repair and inspect your home when required.
Below is a breakdown of who is responsible for repair and maintenance of various items in your home:
From April 2020, DGHP, as part of Wheatley Group (Scotland’s largest housing, care and property management group), has launched an in-house repairs service bringing a modernised service to tenants. Please check back regularly as we will update the repairs pages as this service becomes fully operational.
